Sports Marketing: a form of marketing where the services offered to a company seek to build and/or enhance brand awareness to a targeted group of consumers using sporting events: teams; or personalities. Successful forms of this Marketing subsequently allow the company to associate its brand with the excitement and enjoyment derived from that sports event.

Management & Sports Marketing plays an important role in the overall success of a sporting event in that it underscores the brand association to a wider audience than just those present at the event – either through brand ambassadors or the competitors themselves.
