Sports Marketing: a form of marketing where the services offered to a company seek to build and/or enhance brand awareness to a targeted group of consumers using sporting events: teams; or personalities. Successful forms of this Marketing subsequently allow the company to associate its brand with the excitement and enjoyment derived from that sports event.

Corporate Branding of a sporting event is key facet of Sports Marketing as it is the vehicle for displaying “the brand” to consumers gathered at the event.
